Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty surgery is performed for patients after major weight loss. This is often following bariatric surgery but can also be after medication assisted weight loss or dietary and lifestyle changes.
The excess and stretched abdominal skin left behind can lead to rashes, irritation, back pain, difficulty with exercise, and poor self-esteem.
The aim of this procedure is to remove the excess skin and often tighten the abdominal wall, allowing patients to return to improved activities of daily living.
This surgery can also be performed simultaneously while repairing abdominal wall hernias.
